Apply for NNPC / ESSO National Postgraduate Scholarship 2014

The Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) in continuation of its efforts to provide opportunities for developing careers in the petroleum industry is offering Scholarships to outstanding Nigerian graduates wishing to pursue International post-graduate studies in the under listed disciplines:

1. Geosciences
2. Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil/Structural, Marine and Subsea).

Eligibility:

To qualify, applicants MUST:

1. Must be a graduate from a Nigerian University
2. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class upper division in any of the listed Engineering and Geosciences disciplines.
3. Must have provisional admission to undertake full-time postgraduate study at a reputable foreign University (MSc or MEng) in the 2014/2015 academic session.
4. Specialization in Geophysics would be an advantage.

The NNPC/ESSO scholarship award applies to tuition, books, accommodation and living expenses for the duration of the selected course of study.

How To Apply:

Before you start the application ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:

i. Passport photograph (with white background not more than 3 months old)
ii. Valid ID card
iii. Proof of provisional admission for Postgraduate Study into any reputable university
iv. First Degree Certificate
v. Birth Certificate

Also ensure you label these scanned documents accordingly, to avoid mixing up documents during upload and attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload.

b) Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
c) Go back to http://scholastica.ng/schemes/2014nnpceepnl to return to Scholarship site.
d) Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
e) Enter your personal information, educational information, National Identity Number (if available), other information and upload required scanned documents.
f) Ensure the name used used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate otherwise.
g) Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
h) Recheck application information to avoid errors.
i) Click “apply now” to submit information.
j) You will receive an email and sms that confirms your application was successful.

NOTE: Multiple applications shall lead to disqualification. You must apply before you begin verification of your application details.

Closing Date:

Application closes Midnight, Tuesday 24th October, 2014. Shortlisted Candidates will be contacted with details of the qualifying test via SMS text and Email. Employees of ExxonMobil Subsidiary companies in Nigeria and their dependents are not eligible for this Scholarship.

Shell Undergraduate Scholarship Application Form 2014 is Out

Shell SPDC Scholarship Form for 2014 is Out. The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SHELL /TEPN/AGIP Joint Venture) Scholarship Scheme offers first year students in all Nigerian universities the opportunity to study with an annual grant from the SPDC JV for the full duration of their course. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerian.

Requirements/Eligibility:

The merit-based scholarship is in two categories – the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award, East or West (OE or OW).

1. National Merit Award (NM)  Open to all Nigerians.
2. Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE)  For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational area in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa states (excluding indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama local government areas). Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW)  For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational area in Bayelsa (i.e. of Ekeremor and Sagbama local government areas) and Delta States.

Eligible Applicants must:

i. Be citizens of Nigeria, currently enrolled in an accredited and approved university in Nigeria.
ii. Have gained admission during the 2013/2014 academic session, and pursuing a first degree programme.
iii. Have a minimum of seven credits, including Mathematics and English, in their O/Levels.
iv. Be enrolled full‐time, in a university in Nigeria at the undergraduate level with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 at the time of application (attach transcripts or official records).

HOW TO APPLY

All applicants should have their personal valid email account (for consistent communication). Candidates who meet the above entry qualifications should apply online, at www.scholastica.ng/schemes/spdc to provide the required personal and educational details, and load scanned copies of the following:

• A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant (i.e. jpeg format, not more than 200kilobytes);

• University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;

• Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;

• ‘O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable; and

• Letter of Identification from State (showing Local Government) of Origin.

Scanned copies of letters of identification, (which must be duly stamped and signed) by:

a) The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and

b) The Chairman of the Community Development or Executive Council (CDC or CEC) is also required of applicants for the Operational Area Awards (OE & OW).  The letters should be addressed to The Manager, Sustainable Development (UIO/G/NRS), Shell Petroleum Development Company, Port Harcourt.

Each document must not exceed 200KB and the image format must be in JPEG.

Please note that:

a. Shell DOES NOT DEMAND PAYMENT FROM APPLICANTS.  The application is entirely FREE of charge.
b. Shell DOES NOT ASSIGN ‘Representatives’/‘Agents’ to assist applicants’ process applications.
c. Applications should be submitted online before Friday 24th October, 2014.
d. Only short listed candidates will be contacted.

LASU 2nd Round Post-UTME Result For 2014/2015 is Out

THE Lagos State University (lasu) Second (2nd) Round Post-UTME Result For the 2014/2015 academic session has been released by the school senate, we’ve received and confirmed this releasing of the results today, 2nd of October 2014!
According to the leadership board of the Lagos State University (LASU), who had on Tuesday, announced to the general public, that the school has officially released the Second Round results of candidates, who participated in its 2014/2015 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Please note that the Lagos State University (LASU) 2nd round Post-UTME Result has also been uploaded online on the school official portal.
